Hatha

Hatha yoga is focusing on asanas (postures) one pose at a time with rest in between, connecting to pranayama (breathe) to channel vital energy sources. In Sanskrit, Hatha translates to force. The practice involves breath, body, and mind. Typically poses are held for 3-5 breathe cycle before transitioning to the next pose.

Vinyasa

Vinyasa is a cleansing, heat building format of class that focuses on the flow from one pose to another in concession with the inhalation and exhalation of breath. This style of class is suitable for physically active individuals wanting to get more movement into their practice.

Strengthen and Sculpt

This style of class focuses on building structural strength and stability within our bodies by
engaging our muscles and building stamina through our breathe, while conditioning our
muscles through various fitness-based exercises, yoga asanas and mobility training.

Chair Yoga

Chair Yoga is a seated class focusing on building strength in our legs and core while engaging arms and back muscles. A class that focuses on flexibility training and muscle memory. It is an ideal class for seniors, people with limited range of motion or those that experience balance instability and would like to have a little reassurance with the chair. This is a progressive class that will lead to the incorporation of standing poses.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga is a restful practice that encourages you to slow down and open your body through passive stretching. It is suitable for practitioners of all levels, it is a practice that holds yoga poses (asanas) for a longer duration using props like yoga blocks, blankets, and bolsters. It promotes deep relaxation with an emphasis on the meditative aspect of yoga, the union of body and mind.

Mindfulness Meditation

Mindfulness Meditation is a calming practice, a training of the mind, to slow down and witness our thoughts in a nonjudgmental way, paying attention to the present moment, breathing into our thoughts, feelings and allowing space to let go of negativity and stress to calm your body and your mind while engaging your spirit. Classes can be a mix of guided meditation practice and asana posture practice.
